Awesome.

I’ve been looking forward to this one since, well, since the last game against the Hawks.

I really wanna see Phaneuf obliterate Kane. I hate Phaneuf about as much, but we don’t really have a guy that can demolish Kane’s face. Plus maybe Phaneuf would get suspended.

Then again, compared to the stupid extra point, it’s pretty small in the stupid department to give both goalies a shutout.

The earliest use of the word with the spelling we recognize today is found in "L'Acadie: or Seven Years' Exploration in British America" by James Edward Alexander, published in 1849:

We also met a lusty fellow in a forest road with a keg of whisky slung round him who called to us 'Come boys and have some grog, I'm what you call a canuck"

It’s only a matter of time with all of these quality chances.

by cyxj on Nov 22, 2009 9:13 PM PST reply actions

Seriously, I think Chicago is playing very well

by Sean Zandberg on Nov 22, 2009 9:14 PM PST up reply actions

They are fallin back perfectly and cloggin up the middle. Every Nuck shot gets blocked or deflected. They are also hangin on though.

by Nuckels on Nov 22, 2009 9:15 PM PST up reply actions

They’re getting tons of shots from around the net and in the slot, no?

by cyxj on Nov 22, 2009 9:15 PM PST up reply actions

Are you serious? Shots are 27-17

by Sean Zandberg on Nov 22, 2009 9:15 PM PST reply actions

by missy on Nov 22, 2009 9:22 PM PST reply actions

Again, Bieksa can’t hit the net. Why wasn’t Salo out there instead?

by cyxj on Nov 22, 2009 9:22 PM PST reply actions

Niemi

stole this one, lot of missed nets but he still stopped 27.

by yoata on Nov 22, 2009 9:23 PM PST reply actions

Hawks got a lucky win on a lucky goal.

Canucks deserved better, but Niemi was good.

But any Hawks fans thinking they won anything are misguided…

They just got lucky.

Ah well…good game…

Hawks just won the game, so they won something

If luck gives us 2 points, I’ll take luck.

Yep. Thanks for being a good spot, Mike.

I came over to point out how scared shitless I was most of the 3rd period

That attack was non-stop, and everytime I heard “Sedin” I froze up.

But comments like that annoy me, and needed a reply.

See you folks 1/23/10! :)

Bah, good game. Hawks deserve there props, I didnt think they could win like this. AV can’t be to upset with this one.

by Nuckels on Nov 22, 2009 9:23 PM PST reply actions

Don't be fooled

Chi has the lowest GAA in the league.

by yoata on Nov 22, 2009 9:38 PM PST up reply actions

Can't call that domination

by any stretch. If Niemi is having an average night, we lose. Not many nights we are going to win a one goal game against you guys.

by NKLHD on Nov 22, 2009 9:42 PM PST reply actions

Can someone explain to me

why they keep going back to the Well?

The guy was invisible again, and yet got 1:40 of PP time to Hansen and Raymond’s 20 seconds? Burnyea got the same as Wellfed.

by yoata on Nov 22, 2009 9:48 PM PST reply actions

I watched the last half of that game and I didn’t realize Wellfed was even playing. Invisible? That doesn’t even begin to describe it.

by Section 312 on Nov 22, 2009 10:02 PM PST up reply actions

Exactly

wasn’t just the last half either.

And yet he gets chance after chance after chance.

by yoata on Nov 22, 2009 10:08 PM PST up reply actions

Give youth a chance I say. Where is Shirokov?

by Section 312 on Nov 22, 2009 10:22 PM PST up reply actions

Yeah, good point, guys. Wellwood was Mr Invisible tonight. I think his chances have all but run out.

by Sean Zandberg on Nov 22, 2009 10:28 PM PST up reply actions

Problem is

Nucks don’t have anyone capable of playing 3rd line centre.

Well they do, but he’s in Brampton for the year.

Maybe when demo comes back…
