Bieksa and Mitchell reunited and it feels so good!!
Just read on Twitter that Bieksa has been reunited with Willie to form a shut down pair. They will reportedly skate against Iginla tomorrow night. I haven't seen anything yet on how the other pairs will shake out but you would have to imagine that Edler will play with Ehrhoff. Not sure if I like this strategy since that Calgary top line has been struggling this year. I do like the idea of two rugged guys like that up against Iginla, maybe he will be in the box more than he is on the ice.

Yeah. I was thinking with Rome they might want to go with 2 main pairs and shorten the old bench. Limit Rome and therefore SOB’s ice time.

Ah yes…I was forgetting a guy I think. Now my other question to you is: Would it be wise to put 2 offensive d-men in Edler and Ehrhoff on the same unit?

I am not sure I see Edler as an offensive D man like say Phannyeuf or Souray. He seems more well rounded to me and I think he is smart enough to adjust his game to playing with a more out and out offensive guy like Ehrhoff.

SOB
I thought SOB has been one of the better D-men this year, if he could just stop with the stupid penalties he could be really really effective. I think we need to keep throwing the ice time and confidence at him, he’s still really young and could be a solid d-man for years to come.
FYI I am absolutely loving the addition of the smooth skating ehrhoff, man that guys got skill
FYI
Canucks.com has Ehrhoff and SOB together and Rome with edler. As well Ryan Johnson gets a promotion to the 3rd line with Wellwood and Bernier. I like that move Johnson has good hands, just doesn’t get the opportunity too often to show ’em off
I think maybe SOB had slipped my mind when I wrote this post. He seems a good fit with Ehrhoff but I am wondering how much ice Edler will see playing with Rome. Gotta keep that pair away from Iggy.

With the amount of peanalties normall seen in a Nucks-Flames game, I think there could be more of a cycling through Canuck Dman pairings, with Rome seeing decreased icetime.
I think our third line is screwed. No offense to Johnson’s hands, but someone may need to electroshock Pudge into relevancy soon.
