Interesting remark from AV about Desbiens… “
…so the guy we wanted [Desbiens] was more of a third or fourth liner,” said Coach Alain Vigneault. "… which looks to me like an implied answer to the question, “Why not Shirokov?” Presumably, this means they still see top 6 potential in him. Let’s hope a little more seasoning in Manitoba, to help him adapt his habits to the NHL game, proves them right.
